This non-governmental organization (NGO) started by a wise and well travelled woman to make a magnificent difference in the world. World education Australia started in 1951 by Welthy Honsinger Fisher. In the age of 73 she decided to create an Australian charity which works for people in need. She started by opening Literacy House in Lucknow, India. After that, she went to help African and Asian countries.

Nowadays this NGO is still helping people that are living with poverty and with lack of education in many countries around the world, such as Cambodia, Bangladesh, Papua New Guinea, China, Solomon Island, Sri Lanka, Vanuatu, Vietnam, Australia, Fiji, Indonesia, Laos, Nepal, Philippines, Tonga, and Timor-Leste. A woman with a dream made an enormous difference to the world.
